November 11, 2024 — The Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of IIT Kharagpur has officially launched its 16th annual Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive (EAD), along with the 7th edition of its Local Startups’ Meet (LSM). This initiative aims to inspire young innovators, connect budding entrepreneurs with industry veterans, and foster a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem across the region.
Held as a two-day event, the Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive includes an array of activities such as workshops, expert talks, and interactive sessions designed to equip students and early-stage entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate today’s competitive startup landscape. The event is expected to attract hundreds of participants, including students, startup founders, and investors, eager to engage in the various sessions aimed at demystifying the process of launching and scaling a business.
This year’s Local Startups’ Meet will feature over 20 early-stage startups from diverse sectors, including fintech, healthcare, and sustainable tech. These startups will have the chance to present their products and services to a panel of industry experts and potential investors, gaining valuable feedback and networking opportunities to help drive growth and visibility. The LSM has garnered attention over the years for its role in bridging the gap between new startups and resourceful mentors, paving the way for future collaboration and investment.
“The 16th Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive is all about empowering the next generation of innovators with real-world insights and practical knowledge,” said Anil Kumar, Head of E-Cell at IIT Kharagpur. “By pairing this with our Local Startups’ Meet, we’re offering a unique platform for startups to gain exposure and secure the support they need to scale their ideas.”
